Emotions are my compass in psychotherapy and in life. They are fundamentally adaptive and bring forth important information. Sometimes, however they can get out of control and feel overwhelming or seem distant and mysterious. Using a person-centered, experiential approach, I facilitate different emotional processes aimed at transforming maladaptive emotional states to help individuals access adaptive emotional states that inform them of their needs and guide them to take an appropriate course of action in their lives.

Individual Therapy
One-on-one psychotherapy is intended to help individuals understand themselves better and advance in their personal growth. This method is also very effective in helping individuals work through specific difficulties such as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, interpersonal difficulties and adjustment issues related to life transitions.

Couple Therapy
Intimate relationships are deeply nourishing and contribute greatly to general life satisfaction. The couple is the basic element of the family unit and when the couple is well, everyone in the family benefits! At times, relationships can feel complicated and overwhelming. Couple therapy is intended to help couples enhance feelings of connection and improve the quality of their relationship.

Yoga Therapy
Yoga therapy is the process of promoting physical and psychological changes through the use of ancient practices that constitute yoga. The sessions are private, and personalized, intended to address a specific psychological or emotional difficulty such as depression, anxiety, low self esteem and trauma.

I consider myself to be an explorer – I love traveling and delving into the world of introspection. I grew up moving between Chile and Canada, and I believe that the experience of immigration, in combination with my inquisitive nature led me to be a keen observer of human behavior. I studied and trained with Dr. Leslie Greenberg, the father of emotion-focused therapy at York University in Toronto, Canada. I live in Lausanne, Switzerland where I work in private practice while also teaching in the counseling department at Webster University and training therapists learning Emotion-focused therapy.
